Drawings from the show 28 days later at the Old Hairdresser’s in Glasgow.
Some where also shown at Soho 20 Gallery in New York, 2013.
These drawings are from my book “Everyday Politics”. The image juxtaposes two news items from the same day.
They complement each other and pinpoints the state of the world in a certain moment.
The drawings from”Everyday Politics”, have been showed at Blue Door Gallery, NY, at Konstakademien and National Galleriet
The flower drawings “Macculata” were published in “Autistisk Kilskrift” (Styx Förlag 2005) and are part of the “Antipathies”-project,
where Anckarsvärd works with art historical subjects that he is repelled by. After research and studio work the artwork is dialectically rehashed.
“Macculata” has been exhibited at Laholms Tecknings Museum, Niklas Belenius Gallery, Konstakademien and Färgfabriken, Stockholm.
For the campaign to free the Swedish journalist Dawit Isaak, who is held in prison in Eritrea without a trial since 2001.
